Being a celebrity is tough, being constantly under scrutiny from the press and the public, but at the end of the day they are human too and suffer from the same problems you and I do.
A celebrity speaking out about mental health issues helps normal people cope with their condition. For many they feel alone, feel like there is something wrong with them or feel they shouldn’t be feeling the way they do! To see someone in the public eye hold up their hand to having the same condition helps them to cope and even encourages them to seek the treatment they need.
