Celebrities Brave Enough To Admit To Having Mental Health Problems

Admitting to mental health problems is a big step for anyone, but for a celebrity it could damage or even end their career.

However, these celebrities have been brave enough to step forward and admit to having mental health problems publicly. Being a celebrity is tough, being constantly under scrutiny from the press and the public, but at the end of the day they are human too and suffer from the same problems you and I do.

A celebrity speaking out about mental health issues helps normal people cope with their condition. For many they feel alone, feel like there is something wrong with them or feel they shouldn’t be feeling the way they do! To see someone in the public eye hold up their hand to having the same condition helps them to cope and even encourages them to seek the treatment they need.

These celebrities should be admired for raising awareness of mental health issues and showing it isn’t all rosy when you are in the limelight!

Kristen Stewart is probably best known for her starring role in the box office hit, The Twilight Saga. These movies shot her to fame and brought her firmly into the public eye.

Seeing Kristen star in the movie you’d think she was a strong, confident woman but she recently admitted to suffering from anxiety and was a control freak.

Not know how something would turn out would make her anxious which would cause her to get ill or she would shut herself away, isolating herself from the world and her problems.

She learnt to manage her emotions and to construct healthy mental boundaries in her mind. Through therapy and self-help she has learnt to know what she doesn’t know and to live with it.
